Two hours from central London and just 40 minutes from the world heritage city of Bath, Whatley Manor is Swiss owned by Alix Landolt and her son, Christian Landolt, whose passion for quality and excellence is evident throughout the hotel. 

It took two and a half years to restore Whatley Manor before opening its doors to welcome guests in July 2003. From the painstakingly built Cotswold stone wall lining the drive, to the 23 individually decorated rooms, nothing was too much trouble in the pursuit of perfection.

Boasting two restaurants; Le Mazot brasserie evokes the relaxed ease of a Swiss chalet reflecting the hotel’s Swiss heritage and The Dining Room, where Michelin two-starred chef Martin Burge showcases a choice of seven-course tasting menus that take guests on a culinary journey, featuring the very best seasonal ingredients combined with a series of highly-accomplished cooking techniques. 

Aquarias Spa is exquisitely designed to restore mind and body to a new harmony, and features a world-class hydrotherapy pool plus a series of thermal cabins. Across the five treatment rooms awardwinning therapists deliver ‘beyond organic’ ila-spa treatments and a newly launched range of highly innovative, results driven Natura Bissé face and body treatments. 

Inspired by the original 1920’s plans, the gardens have 26 distinctly different areas, set out over 12 acres, combining the timeless elegance of a traditional English country house garden.

The closing date for entries 31st December 2016

The prize is valid from 18th January until 30th March 2017 and includes a one-night stay for two guests, including breakfast and dinner in The Dining Room with one 60-minute spa treatment. Prize may be redeemed on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Sunday, subject to availability. 

English and continental breakfast is included. The Dining Room serves dinner Wednesday to Sunday. Dinner must be booked at the time of reservation and all beverages, additional spa treatments and food must be paid for on departure.
