Chris Galvin and his brother Jeff need little or no introduction. This successful family duo preside over no less than seven restaurants operating under the Galvin Restaurants banner and include some of the country’s finest dining venues.

Chris Galvin’s career spans over thirty years during which time he worked at some of the finest resaurants and hotels on both sides of the Atlantic. His talent, enthusiasm and dedication was soon spotted by acclaimed Chef, Paul Gayler, who recruited him into his kitchen brigade at Inigo Jones and again, many years later at The Lanesborough Hotel.

In 1997 Chris joined Conran Restaurants where he worked directly with Sir Terence Conran for ten years; opening restaurants Mezzo, Bluebird and Almeida, but it was the launch of Orrery, where he worked for many years, that saw him eventually achieve a coveted Michelin star in 2000.

Inspired by his older brother, Chris, Jeff Galvin started his career at the same, small neighbourhood restaurant, where Chris had once washed the pots for Anthony Worral Thompson. In 1994 he was appointed by Nico Ladenis at Chez Nico and was part of the kitchen brigade that achieved the elusive third Michelin star. His Michelin-starred experience then led to his appointment at Marco Pierre White’s three Michelin-starred Oak Room, where he was Head Chef under the direction of Robert Reid, and in May 2000 Marco appointed him as Executive Chef at L’Escargot which held a Michelin star for five years.

The two brothers finally teamed up in 2005 to launch their first venture together. Galvin Bistrot de Luxe was an overnight success quickly establishing itself as a firm favourite with both foodies and journalists alike and won numerous awards including Best French Restaurant 2008.

This success was continued and during 2006 the brothers launched Galvin at Windows on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane, which was awarded its first Michelin Star in 2010. This was followed by their first city restaurants; La Chapelle and Café A Vin and then a venture into the world famous food halls of Harrods with Galvin Demoiselle.

In the Autumn of 2012 two further restaurants were added; The Pompadour by Galvin and Galvin Brasserie de Luxe at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh. These two distinct restaurants underline the successful partnership that exists between Hilton Worldwide and these remarkable brothers.
