Vincent Crepel
Chef Vincent Crepel opened his first solo venture outside of his native France, Terre, a modern restaurant housed within a 17th-century manor house at 5-star Castlemartyr Resort in Ireland in September 2022. Terre - named in homage to the connection between land, people and produce – is an experience rooted in French cooking alive with the bright flavours of Asia whilst drawing upon abundance from the Irish terroir and sea.
Having worked in some of the world’s most revered kitchens - including 3 Michelin-starred Arzak in San Sebastian, Hotel de Ville Crissier in Switzerland and as Sous Chef for four years at Restaurant André, Singapore - Vincent’s Terre uses ingredients from the bountiful Irish larder, whilst drawing on his experience in France, the Basque Country and Asia.
The Terre menus are meticulously created boasting vibrant flavours and visual appeal and complexity. Fusing traditional French cooking techniques to Asian ingredients for a distinctive and flavoursome menu of dishes that are testament to the culinary prowess of Vincent and his team.
Speaking on opening Terre Vincent said:
“From the first moment I saw the green fields of Ireland surrounded by its spectacular coastline, I have felt a connection with the land and its people, drawn energy from the sea, and inspiration from its bounty. At Terre my hope is to bring you on a special journey, and to share with you my very personal vision of a modern restaurant experience.”
The past 24 months have been extremely exciting for team Terre, starting with receiving a Michelin star after just 6 months, and the second star followed just 12 months later, garnering superb reviews along with a number of awards.
On winning the second Michelin star, in January 2024, Chef Patron Vincent Crepel said:
“Being awarded the second Michelin star is the realisation of a lifelong dream and a wonderful elevation to receive from the inspectors. I am so proud of the team and what we have achieved.”
How to Book
The Obsession25 online booking registration is now closed, and all restaurant tables have been allocated.
However, there’s still hope! Plans can change, and cancellations do occur. If this happens, we will prioritise contacting those who previously applied for tickets through the ballot.

The Obsession Food Festival
Obsession first took place in 2001 and was created as a celebration of great food, wine and a meeting of friends, old and new.
From that first event, its size has grown but the ethos is still very much the same; a completely memorable culinary experience with some of the world’s most innovative chefs creating unique Obsession menus for guests to enjoy at Northcote.
